| HOME | Dan Knabb was born May 24th, 1985 in St. Louis, Missouri. His parents Bob and Maureen who had recently completed grad school, soon moved to the Philadelphia suburbs. In 7th grade young Dan asked his mother what she thought he would be when he grew up. She responded with cartoonist. This set off something in his brain to start coming up with comic ideas as well as some early stand-up. He performed stand-up comedy for the first time in December 2002 at his highschool talent show and fell in love with talking into a microphone. After spending time at West Chester University, Dan moved to Philadelphia to pursue animation and stand-up. In November of 2005 he began to perform regularly at bars and clubs in the Philadelphia area. In July of 2006 he was a semi-finalist in the Philly’s Phunniest competition. He continues to perform in New York and Philadelphia as he prepares for his trip across America.. His humor is a combination of traditional stand-up, funny songs, and alternative humor derived from influences like George Carlin, Richard Pryor, Andy Kauffman, Stephen Wright, and Adam Sandler.
