I’m going to visit my Mom in Mexico to celebrate her birthday and Day of the Dead. I’m going to bring my video camera so it should make for interesting footage.

Stand-up and Music Pages

Check out some of the music I’ve made that may or may not make it into the soundtrack in the MUSIC

I’ve decided to start featuring some of my comic friends in a new section of the site. I have so many comedian friends that I’m going to do them 2 at a time. This way I can play off some of the similarities and differences of the two.

The first two comics are my LA friends Collin Beck and Jamar Neighbors. They’re about the same age but are from completely different backgrounds, and it shows in their comedy.

Enjoy the first featured comics click the picture or go to the ‘Stand-Up’ Section

New Design

Thursday, October 22nd, 2009

I was inspired to redesign the site. The navigation could only be done through the small links on the sidebars. Now i have BIG BUTTONS. I’ll be doing various things to the site over the next week, incorporating maps, videos, and flash so continue to check back often!

First 7 minutes removed

Hope you enjoyed them if you saw them I’m working on more minutes!

Comedy/The Exentrics

Friday, October 2nd, 2009

I auditioned for a new show that is still in pilot mode. The director of American History X is assembling a band of comedians and musicians to make a supergroup that will save the music industry. I went on stage said that I had walked 2,000 miles and played a song on guitar. I got some great feedback leading me to think that if the show takes off I’ll be a part of it. After I had performed the director had me walk in place on stage while other comedians went on. When that was done the director and an executive at FOX requested to have a meeting with me to talk about my walk doc. I have still not heard from them.

Since then I’ve been working hard to have 20 minutes of my footage to show. I completed the first 10 minutes which I think will be the hardest part.

That video is uploaded to youtube but it’s limited to 25 viewers. There are about 3 spots left so if you’re interested you should send me an email danknabb at danknabb dot com, or message me through twitter @comedytrek

I did a show last weekend which was my first experiment doing stand-up with live video. Here’s a short clip.
